Medical Marijuana Oil Extraction Suspected Cause Of Fire That Killed Dogs

The Chelsea Area Fire Authority believes that a house fire that killed two dogs may have been started when an individual was processing medical marijuana.

 

"We know that the individual was going through the process of extracting oils for medical marijuana," said Jim Payeur, Chelsea Area Fire Authority chief.

 

The individual was heating oils in the garage, which is consistent with where officials believe the fire's origin was.

 

It was not immediately clear if the individual had a valid medical marijuana card.

 

Firefighters were called to the scene at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, August 1. The homeowners made it outside.

 

From the garage, the fire extended out at the house located at the 9500 block of Dexter Chelsea Road in Lima Township.

 

Bill Regnier, public information officer for Chelsea Area Fire Authority, said that the firefighters didn't find the dogs until they got into the house. There wasn't an opportunity for a rescue attempt.

 

Firefighters put out the flames in about an hour, but the home was almost a total loss, according to Capt. Chris Smyth. Damage was estimated at $225,000.

This is Gersch's (Peanutbutter on here) house.  Regardless of your personal opinion of him, it would not be appropriate to make unsubstantiated suggestions on a public forum about what happened.  The article seems to suggest that he may be having some problems down the line with leo and we don't need to add to that.

Hopefully he has insurance and it wasn't caused from illegal behavior that could negate the prior.

He is banned because of the ways he tried to fund himself here while not having patients' best interests at heart. 

 

He was always trying a new bad way to fund himself.

 

It's hard for me not to see his old motives in this new twist.

I know gersh and he has never been nothing but good to me!

 

As you know we dont all get along at times and people dont like the way others act, most just sit on their high horses and judge, but they do nothing to help people that realy need help!

 

If people realy cared about pt's there would not ever be a lack of supporters in court rooms all over MI!!!!!!!!!!

 

Zap gave you the best answer about the banning, and to see mmma supports him just tells me how many people he has helped!

 

Those of you who want to talk b.s about him,,,,,put your anger to better uses and go out and support pt's in court case's!

 

P.b if you are reading this,,,,,I wish you well and feel realy bad for you and your wife and pets, I know there is a perfectly good explanation for this accident and also know you probably was doing it to help pt's!
