really?  reading the article I commented on , the one t-pain shared, I saw no mention of fertilizers, their dumping or their detection. I did see this however:

"Burgard is measuring the level of THC -- the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana -- in local wastewater. Comparing the results from the sewage to sales reported by the liquor control board, Burgard will be able to determine if legal marijuana is replacing the black and medicinal markets. ....A $120,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health is funding the project.

did you read it or are just trolling my posts?

I'm talking about the topic here; The Brand New Provisioning Centers Act and it's contents. I'm surprised you couldn't follow that. It was talking about provisioning centers and waste water, not THC from urine. You guys made an honest mistake and I was bringing things back to reality.

can you show the area of wastewater chemical salts in the Provisioning Center Act? I cant find that part and am interested in what they propose.

thank you

Nope. You would have had to heard about it elsewhere. Just passing it on. A huge hydro grow is a danger to sewer contents if they dump it. Someone brought that to their attention. They would need to be monitored so they dispose of it properly.

How or what do you think we or i can do to help keep medical cannabis in our State from being taken away ?

we could all

1)Follow Act Rules

2)Represent properly

3) stop cannabis costume play

4) discuss more compliance, and less grey area techniques

5)stop supporting illegal dispensaries

6) Vote our con/science instead of the lesser of two evils

7) Stop giving money to/supporting/investing in the very entities aiming to end cannabis use(private prisons, big pharma, dow, DuPont, etc)

might be too late now, but would help imo

I didn't think it-fertilizer run off- was a relevant part of this thread, because it wasn't mentioned in the articles or the Act itself. of course.oh well. fertilizer run off is a big concern though. There are many growers who insist on using bottled nutrients still, chocked full of chelated substance and heavy metals, not to mention the high nitrogens. These mess up fish and water ways according to the cartel growing busts. I sense a lot more of these identical bottled chems run off into the farm ditches across the country year round nearly. giant truck loads even spilled over wells, fields, roads, and ditches....ultimately finding their way into our lakes I figure. Relying less on bottled nutrients may help some.

back to the derails, I wonder what the levels of THC found really are, compared to birth control/Viagra etc.

It is touched on but it doesn't specifically talk about the testing that will have to be done to the waste coming from a large grow. It just says that it would have to be disposed of properly.

You have to be joking...???

To think of all the industrial and pharma chemicals that are in our water supply, and to then think that mj growers need extra special monitoring as if these sources of pollutants is much worse, or anywhere near the volume as the others???

Most people don't realize it but in normal city water supplies we find radioactive contaminants, a host of pharmaceuticals like estrogen supplements, bacteria, algae, and industrial chems by the dozens, even combustible waste from fracking...All in normal, everyday water supplies that americans drink, wash and bathe in everyday.

Most all of this is there because we put it there, despite our laws. Most all of it cannot be filtered or removed because we do not have any systems in place to deal with it, and if we were to try, it would be incredibly expensive.

Commerce in america does this all day, every day.

Somewhat disingenuous to pretend to care about the relatively innocuous effects of mj nutrient salts.

Farming of commercial food crops has to thousands of times greater in volume and effect.

Crazy... How about enforcing existing laws for existing commercial enterprise first?

Estrogenic compounds that leach from most all plastics in use today, and the plastic industry's attempt to cover that up... Amongst other chemical compounds they employ. BPA, i believe... Chems are all over the place, everywhere, all the time, and most arent studied for effects.

"Quantifiable evidence..." is what you be talking about Restorium? Here's a few links for the uninitialized like myself prior to reading this.

"People are not always truthful about answering surveys ..."  daa, imagine?

This is what 'they' were talking about;

Regulations for the marijuana industry; pretreatment staff reviewed operational practices of the industry. The purpose of the industry review was to determine if rules regarding wastewater discharge should be incorporated into the overall regulation. Conclusions drawn from the investigation indicate that “fresh” nutrient solutions do contain some pollutants of concern and may need pretreatment before entering the sewer system.
