Local Illegal Transport Laws..valid?

Just had a patient cited for illegal transport and I forwarded him the link to the excellent thread back in July...

As we discussed his options we noticed that they cited him under a local law so that they (Westland) could keep all the revenue.   Curious how this plays out against the idea that the underlying State law is illegal to begin with?

With the Republican Judiciary in Michigan, there is no telling what nonsense they may attempt to create.

people v koon case made it clear that section 7e makes all conflicting laws not apply.

 

and ter beek v wyoming made it clear AGAIN that a local ordinance that conflicts does not apply to patients and caregivers.
