city business licenses and qualify to be publicly listed.  I am putting together a list of all the disps in detroit because i have a proprietary product to push to them.  the city clerk does not know where numbers 18 through 179 are (but said she drives past 4 of them on her way to work).

Weed maps lists only 17.

There are 16 I can walk to on the Eastside of Detroit w/o counting the ones on 8 mile.

Maybe someone at MetroTimes or Culture Mag can help.

What made homey even want to get a store like that? Do they arrest the street dealers more when they don't have a store? Get a store and arrested no more? Or is it that it's only at that location the bribe works? There has to be something I'm missing because it's just not making sense. Stealth and low overhead used to rule. How could those basic principles change? I smell a dam for money. There are some seriously crooked cops running this. Or they have some sort of idiotic plan to overthrow the gangs with these stores. I remember when the cops ran all the pawn shops to stop the thieves. Do cops run these stores?

the church phone num is (313) 342-4950

also try calling james tate office, i think he was the city council memeber who was partnered with this group and was on the radio about it.

I rode the bus and stopped in at one of the 17 this morning, and the guy behind the bullet-proof glass had me show my card and my id and then fill out a one-page form before he would allow me to talk.  After i gave my pitch for my proprietary product, he made made aware he had not been listening, cause he asked, "Got a sample of your buds, bud?"

i said, "No, 'm not selling bud, bud."

He said, "We only buy pounds, usually $2500; $2800 if you become a regular supplier."

I wished him a good day and stepped out into a hot and humid sweltering detroit morning.

Why would a dispensary operator be silly enough to only buy pounds?  I've heard of dispensaries buying a "Michigan pound," (15 oz) but it seems that if the seller had an unfortunate interaction with LEO for selling a pound, the prosecutor would file conspiracy charges against the dispensary operator.  But I suppose if you have big enough cajones to open a retail MJ store, this might be the least of your worries.

Pound the pavement... Why draw unwanted attention (to ur potential customers) by calling the city code or lic dept???

Locations... The obvious and well known... From the very west of 8mile to the far east of it, mack ave, woodward. Spend 2 days in a car, all day, and still won't hit them all up. No need to call the city for 'help'.

We already know of active duty cops (not just the d, but suburbs too) that ran a delivery service, have and operate caregiver grows, ran unwarranted raids to resell product and keep the cash, and carry actual patient cards to actually buy their personal stash from dispensaries. There r even retires cops that run security.

Why wouldnt some be involved in operating them too?

All of this is public knowledge.

So much for all the cops being anti mj...

I don't think that most cops are anti-MJ; they are simply pro-money.  If  they can earn money by raiding grows, they will do so.  If they can earn money by helping an MJ business, they'll do so.

Bob, thank you for your generous and helpful offer.  I have some gas money. Neither councilman James Tate or the church has returned my left messages in my attempt to compile a list of detroit disps.   I long ago lost the phone in which i stored your number.  I tried to message you a pm with my phone #, however, your box is full.
