Passed Out Of Committee 9/22/15

On Tuesday, September 22, three bills that would drastically change the medical marijuana program in Michigan were passed out of committee. The committee hearing drew a large crowd of patients, caregivers, and would-be entrepreneurs who testified and gave their opinions on the languages of the new bills.

The bills, HB4209, HB4210, HB4827, would change the marijuana protections to cover edibles, concentrates, and dispensaries while also initiating a seed-to-sale tracking system across the state.

I'm assuming the seed to sale bill doesn't include the caregiver who has up to 5 patients.

Hum, and they wonder why legal patients are going old school again. Open the door and let politics nit pick on a law for sick and disabled people. And they won't stop until, they tax every penny outta us, sigh.

Well, let them play games. People will pay 400 a zip when things go recreational, but no patient with real needs will buy into this crap. One of them must have seen a gram of oil at $100 and scurried back to the house thinking they have tons of room to tax and give their buddies packaging jobs.

Question:

 

Why do they only define "Cannabis Sativa L" as marijuana?  Do they not consider "Cannabis Indica" or "Cannabis Ruderalis"  marijuana?
