Article Paraphrased:

Law enforcement groups proposed several changes to the medical marijuana bills:

1.  If dispensaries are formally allowed, law enforcement groups would like the state to stop registering caregivers.  Will need a 3/4 supermajority vote as required to amend a voter-approved law.

2. State police suggested adding language to prevent home deliveries and internet sales by dispensaries.  Also add regulations for transporters such as bonding, the use of unmarked trucks or having at least two people in a vehicle at all time to ensure that marijuana is delivered in a safe and secure fashion.  Design to avoid/eliminate the private delivery services.

3. Allow State Police, local Police and County Sheriff's to inspect medical marijuana facilities and registered caregivers anytime they want.

4. Law enforcement should have access to any database of licensees caregivers.

5. Allow Michigan State Police to develop roadside marijuana testing, including the use of oral swabs or new breath test technology.

The recommendations from law enforcement groups are just that, recommendations. The Senate Judiciary is expected to continue testimony on the bills in December before making any changes or holding a vote.

1.  If dispensaries are formally allowed, law enforcement groups would like the state to stop registering caregivers.

Dispensaries are not care giving, they are a store. They are not interchangeable.  This is medical, remember? People need caregivers, adding stores doesn't change that.

So now we have a functioning(barely) rep in the Michigan legislature saying, "A vote for dispensaries is a vote against home grows".

AND:

The spokesperson for Michigan Law Enforcement saying; If dispensaries are formally allowed, law enforcement groups would like the state to stop registering caregivers.

Some folks even thought that they could be caregivers supplying the dispensaries!

It was all a scam that some of us pointed out years ago.

Sucks to be wrong now, right?

All that fighting you did because YOU were going to supply the dispensaries. What a joke. You screwed us all with your egos and greed, supporting these dirty rotten dispensaries.

For those who didn't believe they were coming for our grow rights... perhaps now you will.

For those who still think that 'legalization' will not also be manipulated by these same people...

well, this should be your wake up.

Removing cannabis from the PHC is the only sane answer.

Thank you

Removing cannabis from the PHC? I'm all for that but now if we or anyone else wants to start that today it would be 2020 before it could be done

i understand that Lansing and Leo doesn't want anyone to grow cannabis in their homes and i agree with zachw Leo wants into are homes

C'mon, We have 170,000 cards in the state 83 counties.

Now I don't know about your area but there seriously gotta be 1000's of folk, vets, pharmers cannabis consumers around here in this county alone ain't gonna get on no .gov list, no how no way.... unless it is decriminalized completely.

That is the major hurdle up here, they are staying under the radar and they don't trust the greedy bass turds and their inspections and testing. They refuse to participate till the WOD is over.

Seems Decriminalizing Cannabis completely would expand the market exponentially. Just sayin

This was simply a write-up regarding the most recent committee hearings. Kind of old news, honestly...and news that has been discussed at length in the prior days.

If you all hate it so much, spend less time on this site and go talk to people. Get involved with abrogate. Call your house rep, call your senate rep, write them, do anything! Staffers are fun people often, strangers, cashiers...You're beating a dead horse here....just sayin' (no worries, imi, I know you're doing your part)

Wrong.

This is the first time we could nail down:

The spokesperson for Michigan Law Enforcement saying; If dispensaries are formally allowed, law enforcement groups would like the state to stop registering caregivers.

Up until now we still had many members/posters/caregivers who actually thought they were going to supply the dispensaries.

They will be back to chase a fantasy, and we will be here to remind them that caregivers NEVER will supply dispensaries.

It's actually very important. If you can't see that then you are blind on purpose. IMO

Been here a long long time dude. It's going to take much more than a pushy Johnny Come Lately to stop this message.
