"It's immeasurable, the importance of having identified this person."

An investigation months in the making landed a man in jail.

Investigators say he was selling marijuana to teenagers.

A tip led State Police to the man in Osceola County.

The Traverse Narcotics Team made the marijuana arrest last night at a trailer home in Reed City.

TNT says their investigation lasted three months.

A search warrant led them to a large, illegal marijuana grow inside the home.

They seized more 21 marijuana plants and processed marijuana ready to sell, along with a crossbow, a gun and tools used to process the drug.

They say interviews suggest the man aimed to sell his product to high school students... and this was an important arrest.

"It's very important," says Kip Belcher, 7th District Taskforce Commander out of Gaylord. "They may very well have prevented the distribution of marijuana product to additional high school students that may have become involved with it or potentially even younger kids so extremely important."

The taskforce wished to keep the home's location confidential until after the man is charged... which should happen tomorrow.

"A large, illegal grow, containing 21 marijuana plants" that's what LEO consider a "large" grow?!? Unless those where 21- monster plants, I wouldn't personally consider that a large grow. It's so sad it's funny, if police want respect and cooperation they need to gain some common sense and they REALLY need to adjust to there view on Marijuana.

Unless you are a high schooler you dont sell to kids in school!

When things were ilegal if I heard of any one in my chain dealing to kids they didnt get anything to deal with kids from me again, and the ones that continued wound up doing time in prison,,,,,,,when they got out they said they wish they would have listened to me, kids always tell others where it came from when they burn one with other kids,  that is a fact, if they get pulled over and the cops ride em they will narc out who they got it from,,,,fact!  unfortunatly that is a fact in my world,  DONT SELL ANYTHING THAT GETS YOU HIGH TO KIDS!

Peace

While I agree marketing to HS students is foolish (too much HS sex to call them kids anymore in my view), twenty-one plants is hardly a major grow.

We all know this. We also know the unrest of this unfortunately soul won't make a gnat's patootie difference in the local HS consumption.

So what was the point of this exercise?

Who was protected?

The high school children. Nope.

The community? Wrong again?

How about the TNT budget with their State and Federal grants? Bingo!
