Bernie is the real thing. He kind of hits me the way JFK did, but JFK was a political anomaly - a fabulously wealthy man who sincerely cared about the little guy.

 

I fear for Bernie's life if he actually wins the nomination and makes it to the presidency. There are dark forces operating in this country (Republican ignoramuses like the Militia, etc.) who wouldn't like to have a socialist as president. The protectors have kept Obama alive for a long time though, so maybe my fears are unwarranted.

 

Or, and here is a classic pot smokers conspiracy theory, the dark forces have told Obama to go along with their agenda or they will kill him (???).

The thing I like about Bernie is that he seems to be genuinely concerned about the plight of middle America. He seems to want to be president for YOU instead of wanting to be president for himself. All the other candidates strike me as wanting to have the office for the title and power. They seem to to want the office in order to satisfy their own ego.

What concerns me, is voters believing that anyone campaigning will actually live up to their campaign promises if/ when they make office.

 

 

This voting cycle I am concentrating my voting power here, in my own back yard... State and Local.

 

I will not be voting the presidential election this year, as I believe it's rigged.

Thanks! Brutal honesty; A lot of us would like to see Bernie get the nomination rather than Hillary. It's just that simple. We can see ahead and it would be a much easier path here with Bernie than Hillary. Job number 1 is making sure that the PRESENT Republican agenda gets kicked to the curb. They are nearly dead, dust in the wind. But it aint over 'til it's over and we will fight until the dust settles(maybe even longer).

people are potentially paid cash for every hit to every reposted vid on youtube. Its a cash enterprise to post vids there, and entice others to view, and better yet, repost in another unrelated arena for even more cash exposure.  in this case it raises cash shamelessly for the political party commercial activity. Go Bernie ! I hope every member donates to the video site collector, and Bernie Wins!  It will all be worth it then!  The longer this stays up, the better chance Bernie has to win!

Love Bernie but still don't think he can beat the Hillary machine, plus it doesn't seem like he has wide appeal in some important demographics (e.g., Hillary has huge support among Black voters) 

 

Also there is argument to be made for Hillary being more effective in Congress. Many repubs made it their sole goal to work against Obama legislation and methinks Hillary would be more effective than the much more radical Bernie in getting things done. You can go only so far with executive orders and need to be able to work with Congress. 

 

In any event, people need to always keep in mind that the next president will likely be naming a number of SCOTUS members and that power needs to be kept out of Republican hands.

Obama Narrows Clinton Superdelegate Lead To 1

 

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton's superdelegate lead over Sen. Barack Obama was narrowed even more Saturday, according to CNN's latest delegate estimate.

Obama closed to within one superdelegate of Clinton, picking up the support of four party leaders after a flurry of new endorsements over the past two days. Clinton, meanwhile, picked up the votes of two superdelegates but lost one to Obama.

That brings Clinton's superdelegate total to 273 and Obama's to 272.

At the beginning of the year, Clinton led the superdelegate race by more than 100.

Superdelegates are Democratic officials who hold the balance of power in determining the party's presidential nominee.
