Smoking past last year’s Gallup poll – in which 58% of America’s law-abiding citizens gave a proverbial nod to the idea of legalizing recreational marijuana consumption  – this new poll conducted by the Associated Press and the University of Chicago shows an elevated 61% of those surveyed agreed, marijuana should be legalized for adults over the age of 21.

Q1. Do you think the use of marijuana should be made legal, or not?

Do you think the use of marijuana should be made legal, or not?

If Yes, should be legal in Q1…

If Yes, weed should be legal…

While the majority of those polled agreed that marijuana should be legalized, there were a few important caveats mentioned; 43% believed there should be a limitation on the quantity available for purchase, 24% believed a doctor’s recommendation should be necessary … and 33% felt there should be no restrictions attached.

I hate to even give in to the popular vote thing as if anyone can tell someone what not to put in their own bodies has ANY bearing. They needed to open the constitution to make alcohol illegal.  The idea that home grows"can't be controlled"(PA Med MJ law) is insane, as if they need to be "controlled".  What the people want for their health, esp. since so harmless, is none of their fuking business.

Only 33% who wanted it legalized said there should be no limits.  That is what has to be worked on.  I can stock my house with beer and smokes and no one cares about people who brew at home and share or sell to others.  Why can you share but not sell your homebrew, legally?  Another right taken and made into a permit.
