Lt. Roger Wesch said police were called to a house in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue about 4:08 p.m. Friday to stand by as a person at the house was moving property. While there, police noticed a large marijuana grow operation.

"We ended up doing a search warrant and seized 72 plants," Wesch said.

Two men were taken into custody. A 28-year-old Port Huron resident is being charged with possession of marijuana.

A 25-year-old Port Huron resident is being charged with manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a drug house, Wesch said.

Police were assisted by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force.
