Psa Chlorine In Detroit Metro Water

Recommended Posts

Just a fyi that we have confirmed with two different agencies that metro Detroit water treatment (I can't give you the exact cities served, you'll have to find out yourself) uses chlorine gas rather than chloramine for disinfecting water.

This means that if you are concerned about Cl in the water, you can easily remove it via evaporation, either by boiling or leaving the top off the container of water for while. Cl as chloramine is not easily removed.

Confirmed by:

1) great lakes water authority

2) springwells water treatment plant  (analyzes & treats large part of Oakland County)
