My smart meter(s) was installed recently!  Just in time too. DTE links with their app I downloaded, which alerts me to a power outage-DTE knows the moment power is cut to the meter.  Among a full suite of helpful information and adjustment suggestions the  app is also well suited to to assist in reducing the costs of growing your own medical marijuana. I expect to lower my growing  costs by 50% the first month my meter begins sending its info. Kudos DTE!! 

 

the choice was barely evident with a large rip off opt out fee and an extra monthly charge....X 2 for me
