Cadillac Michigan State Police, Tnt Plan Auction For Seized Items

Police from several counties are putting together an auction that goes a long way to help pay for future investigations.

The Cadillac Michigan State Police post will hold their Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) Forfeiture Auction this Thursday.

It features items seized during investigations and drug arrests.

You can bid on cars, boats, a camping trailer and a lot of guns.

Other items were donated by different departments across the state.

Police say they expect thousands of auction-goers.

"I think it is a great opportunity and people who are looking for these types of items to get them and often times at pretty reasonable prices," says Lt. David Street, post commander at the Cadillac MSP post.

"We try to send a message out," says Sheriff Jim Bosscher, Missaukee County. "If you are going to make your living selling drugs and doing illegal things, that this is what the potential is that could happen to you. You could lose those things."

The auction starts at 10 a.m. this Thursday, May 26 at the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post. 

In past years, they've raised nearly $100,000 with proceeds going to TNT.
