Does anybody have any experience with the 24k btu mitsubishi mr slim? Does it work good? Cost of operating? How much are you cooling with it, etc? Its upgrade time, im going to be going from 18k btu, to 24-30k btu. My hvac friend(20 years hvac) is recommending the 24k 2ton mr slim, he says mitsubishi is the best. His current qoute for the unit and everything needed for installation is 19 and some change and he will install it for beer and bbq. Ive read mixed reviews, so im here seeing if any locals might have exp with this particular or any other mitsubishi models.

Mitsubishi's thermostats are proprietary and will not work work with ANY other temp control. So NO enviro switch control capability. Deal breaker for a lot of people. Outside of that they totally kick donkey. 30k in August will comfortably handle 6 lights above ground. Gets quite warm with 8. Extremely efficient, and ridiculously quiet inside and out. Pro is the heat pump, ease of use, easy on the ears and monthly costs. Can't tell u the actual operating costs per month, with out breaking down equipment. A/c goes with the territory, assumed cost.

if i upgrade to the 30 k unit, ill probably have him install a second zone in my bedroom, assuming that model has the capability.
