Detroit brokers report Gorilla Glue #4 as a lonely strain at the peak of the disp pyramid of strains.

dispensary retail price is $500 per oz for lab-tested batches at 27%, or higher.

$500  an ounce someone needs to look at their soul and ask themselves why  do they feel the need to be so  greedy. :money:

I grow, so it's been a while since I've been in a disp. A few weeks ago I was nearly out of my nighttime meds with harvest a few weeks away so I decided to pick some (meds) up at a nearby disp.

 

They had a nice selection in the $15-20/gram range. A little high, but with the next closest disp over an hour away, I decided "what the heck". Not seeing any quantity pricing, I asked what a quarter would be. The answer: "$15-20 per gram whether you buy 1 or 7." That means @$20/gram an oz would run $560! Yes, $560.

 

I do check periodically on the pricing at larger, "legal" state disp to guide me in pricing meds for my patients. Of course, they all do qty pricing. Needless to say, I was shocked that this local disp didn't offer any qty pricing. Talk about greedy!

These types are the kind of people  that makes me care less if they shut them all down I understand that not all of them are this greedy buy cmon $105 - $140 a quarter is semi legalized financial rape.

The highest cost caregiver I have seen is charging $10gm for super top shelf, with extra buds for free occasionally.  Most I see charge maximum $200oz and many charging $150oz for top shelf yumminess. 

 

The crap I see at dispensaries for $20gm I don't even consider top shelf.  Upper middle typically.

 

 So yes. These people are criminals in more than one sense of the word.

Right on.  I am still irked about going into one of the local shops and their buds were tumbled AND $15g.

As if they won't be making killer bank at $200 - $250 a zip.  It's not a product you only buy once and won't

need again after all. 

 

My brother recently (last week) moved to Seattle.  He and his buddy stopped in a shop... $50 an 1/8 all day

at any of the shops his friend frequents.  As to the quality... I didn't smoke it so... Idk... they were happy w/ it.

Still at $400 a zip... that is for Rec weed.  The shops here in MI are suppose to be medicinal... for patients.

If there comes a day where I can no longer grow my own, there is no way I would ever be able to afford

these rip off prices.

 

 

 

OH... OH... here's one for ya's....

 

One of the shops is hosting good ole Snoop Dogg @ $710. per ticket.  I guess it's just an opportunity to smoke

down w/ Snoop, idk.  It's insane anyway and certainly not geared towards the 'patients'. bah.

You can find $150-$175 in Flint, top-shelf goes up around $280-$340. Most places have different price break points typically at 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and ounce. Their pricing schemes are all slightly different. If you want a chance of finding anything decent you pretty much need to stick to 4.5 and above for rating on the sites that rate and map the shops.

I have talked to a few owners, there typically paying 125-200 for lab tested 20 percent and up, they all justified the 4-500 ounce because of taxes, licenses, permits etc. so..i know alot of people like to think that a rec law will make the price plummet with more store fronts, but reality is itll stay mostly the same, or go up...even with massive commercial green houses in state. On the flip side, the black market in places like colorodo, you can fetch a full unti for around 1600.

lab tested?  I know some who sell to some that are paying a little more, with no labs, and are interested in grade A only. A whiff and toke is all they ask. I'm sure its demographically controlled. 

 

has anyone ever seen the mark up at ABC or Art Van? or big pharma chems? holy smokes, makes a couple hundred% mark up look like charity.  I've seen other strange markets evolve and they all have one thing in common. People will pay whatever its worth to them to shop there, or will not pay and the business will dry up while the market decides. I was crazy to some for paying a hundie for a seed on breedbay. but you know what, one bud, from one plant was all it took. The first samples went out, and one bud from one branch from one plant, paid for that one seed. crazy?  still growing that one strain, top five of all time for us too. But I can find seeds for a dollar too........Did Sam rip me off....nah, not at all! he's a square dude!
