Well, in another round of drafting, the lansing city council currently sits on a draft ordinance that requires an applicant to first pay a $5,000 app fee (only half of which is refunded if denied), $10,000 a year to retain the license, and an applicant must also have $50,000 in liquid assets for the fook of it. Business interests seem to permeate even the smallest bodies of government. flower every last one of 'em

Meanwhile, a plea deal is being worked out with that creep, dunning. Word is he will plead to one count or some bs. This world is getting fubar'd hard these days. I'm about to give up.

meetings from last lansing city council meeting

oh look...

Ms. Schneider on behalf of the NPRA noted that distribution should not be taking place at the

same place where it is grown, and co-ops are separate from the transfers for security reasons.

Caregivers are not required to lock up their product unless they leave the site. Ms. Schneider

is asking the Committee consider establishing a City Department to handle everything

marihuana, setting a population cap, and required distance from schools. On the State side,

the legislators have been crafting something for five (5) years, and hopefully Ms. Schneider

hopes it will pass this year. Lastly, she supported neighborhood representative and law

enforcement on the advisory panel/committee.

someone told me she stopped supporting the bunny muffin dispensary bill... guess that was wrong.

So, the shops that are fleecing patients will be those who stay in biz cuz they afford to pay the licensing fees off the backs of the same pt's they ripped off?  bah

is it really a rip off? or a fleece?  if patients line up at the door more than happy to pay whatever the costs are, day after day after day? People that buy goods in small qtys often get charged more than bulk/wholesale prices right?  ie- gram at a time.....

like check out the mark up on furniture, hospital care, surgery, medical goods, Rx...... lots higher than cannabis.

We're being fleeced by everyone selling for a profit?

(I think so, often, wonder if you do too?) but I dont blame the fleecers either,.....watch markets decide. Cannabis has been available to most people for decades. Poor, rich, young and old, its everywhere, black market or legal, right around the corner. Really good quality always cost more than twice for me, if I smelled it and it was crappy I'd pass.

If someone was selling 500 dollar oz's while everyone else charges 200 I'd think the market would dry up, but nope, they likee the 500/oz shelf it seems.

it is my feeling that dispensary users are just uninformed about the caregiver system or the certification mill just attached them to a bad caregiver and they never got the taste out of their mouths. I spend a little time doing recon and I'd have to say that caregivers are 9 to 1 better than dispensaries. I've seen buds that were essentially dry tumbled (resin removal), too dry, too wet, no flavor (most ofen noted issue), and crazy prices. $30 a gram. Okay, I have some untouchable strains, but my 'can't sell it' price isn't $30! The facade of safety and testing is the vehicle that the dispensaries use to make their case...and their money. I once supported (for the sake of the few that didnt understand the cg system) their silly existence, but now they can eat it. If the dispensary lobby wants to eat it's own tail, fine. Caregivers need to come together and unite against the false story that these a-holes sell our policy-makers.

I'd muh prefer that they were shut down before we start talking about cg compliance inspections. I guess ef the 4th amendment?

I agree. I wouldnt get my supply from any (local) dispensary after sampling from my patients' bag. they were glad though that a dispensary existed while they were searching for a cg. I dont support them and they operate outside of the Act I voted for. I dont think a black market seller of drugs can be accused of "fleecing" the market, year after year.  Unless of course they tumble as you say. Thats despicable. I agree an experienced patient would know better. Education might help.

I imagine new patients seeking info find caregivers bickering about all kinds of stuff, patient related and not. We're pretty tough of patients if you havent noticed, across the boards I see, cream rises to the top, experienced cg's might not be so quick to register inexperienced patients? I dunno. I thought everyone knew how to google a caregiver in their area though. I guess some dont even have the net , and forms are provided by the disp or a doctor.

do you consider the doc's actions at a instant legal Cup to be a certification mill type ?

MI dispensaries can kiss my azz !!! but when they get their chit straight I'll visit again. It would be a blast to go to Colorado for that experience I  think.

I want to go beyond liking this comment. Everything you say here is so true, it is hard to believe anybody on this site would try to shill the idea that caregiver quality (or anything about caregivers at all) can generally be gauged by the experience one receives at a dispensary. Incredible really, and transparent.

you could give him a +1 Gold Star ya know.......WET dont even have one, geesh
