No More Help For Female Growers From Me.

Recommended Posts

Today I am in a ruminative mood, seeking to draw lessons from the last 6 years.  Most i will keep to myself.

One huge time-waster [with no exceptions].  Never take on a female-wannabe grower to mentor.  I define a successful mentorship as the individual is still growing their own weed needs 3 years later.  In my case 100% of the 9 females i lavished with help and some supplies are not growing today.  To be totally transparent, I had no relationship beyond grow-mentor.  7 were white and 2 black.  One lasted 2 years and she disappeared. Literally, her house is still standing and vacant (she owned it); her phone and email shut-off.  So maybe she is growing elsewhere.

That would make i of 9 who survived, but would not change my analysis.

Guys are nearly 100% opposite.

hmm...  I know quite a few accomplished female growers who have every intention to continue their craft.

I have had nothing but troubles (of my own making) while attempting to grow, yet I have every intention to continue.

If not for those (men) who stepped up to assist me I would have given up by now, I am certain of that.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me and continue to help me  :bighug:

I want to make it clear that in no way am I saying women don't make excellent growers.. I just don't think there are as many interested in it. That said I'm sure there are many fine female growers, and GG is a top one for sure, hands down.. In me comment  I just find less women doin it in my  limited knowledge base.. but I DON'T think for a min that women are less gifted as growers. I just haven't been lucky enough to run into many.. Unofficially my wife has worked our grow without my involvement  and did an outstanding job, when i was too sick to get outta bed at all.  :)

Males have always dominated the illicit drug market and production.

I think a general reason is female risk aversion and children. Also that males will regularly take the fall to protect the woman and/or children.

Secondly, males tend to not trust females in such large dealings. That is where the gender bias is IMO.

Might male ego have a bit to do with it also? Besides the female risk aversion and children angle, women are generally less egotistical.

Women have historically been the back bone in support of their male counter part, and have less need for the 'spot light'.

I'm simply tossing ideas out here, not intended for an argument.

Quite true. Women as a whole tend to be more verbal and sometimes that isn't the best trait to have in the cannabis business.

Like Phaq says, "Loose lips sink ships."
