I Am A Patient And I Will Possess My Plants, Do I Fill Out Section C

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just saw the DR today and got the approval from him. Now I need to send in the LARA Application paper work. I plan on possessing/growing my own plants. Additionally, I am taking 2 family members tomorrow to get certified. I plan on being the caregiver for both of them. So I am a patient, my own caregiver (if that is really possible) and will be a caregiver to two family members...

On my Application being sent to LARA.

I have Section A: Patient Information - Filled out with my info.

I have Section B: Person Allowed to Possess Patient's Marihuana Plants - Checked "I will possess the plants"

Questions are:

1) Do I put my information in Section C? (I was told by someone to leave that section blank as I am allowed to possess my own plants without being my caregiver. I was told by another person that I do have to fill out Section C because I will be my own care giver.)

2) Am I my own caregiver or just a patient in possession of their own plants?

On the Applications being sent to LARA for my family.

They will have Section A: Patient Information - Filled out with their info.

They will have Section B: Person Allowed to Possess Patient's Marihuana Plants - Checked "My caregiver will possess the plants"

Issues/Questions are:

I will be the caregiver for both family members but I don't even have my paperwork submitted to LARA yet.

1) Do I put my information in Section C of their application?

I assume yes and that regardless of my patient status, I can still be a caregiver even if I don't have a patient card.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Awesome.. thank you both for the prompt reply. I am so excited to be able to help my family on there path to medical marijuana.

I am in the process of searching this site for info and am happy that when I do have questions they are answered as quickly and concisely as you two have done for me.

So to also clarify..

I will be sending in a check for $60 for myself (patient)

Each family member will need to send in a check for $85 ($60 patient and $25 caregiver fee)

Correct.

I want to add that if you are not a patient and only a caregiver the amount of

usable marihuana will be reduced so keep that in mind.

Welcome to the site.  Glad members were able to answer your questions.

Congratulations also on your patient status and choosing to assist your family

with their medical use of cannabis.
